Residue
in flu jab causing kids' reactions: scientist
- The Age, Australia - "Professor Nikolai Petrovsky, a Flinders
University immunologist, says an experiment he carried out indicates
that large amounts of viral genetic residue created by the vaccine's
manufacture were overloading infants' immune systems. The experiment
left him in 'absolutely no doubt' that high levels of the residue in
the form of RNA (the viruses' genetic blueprint) were the cause."

- International Business Times, Australia - "The tests on the flu
vaccines reveal no signs of abnormalities so far, as health authorities
continue investigation into the bad flu vaccine reaction scare in WA."
* ►May 1, 2010 - Flu
jab meant to help, so why did Ashley die?
- All was well with two-year-old Ashley Epapara and her twin, Jaime,
until about midnight on April 8. - The Australian - "Anne Kelso, one of
the experts who approved the vaccine, cannot explain why it would be
causing problems. 'There's no reason, on first principle, to think
putting swine flu with the other virus would be any different to any
previous trivalent vaccine,' said Professor Kelso, director of the WHO
Centre for Influenza in Melbourne and a member of the TGA's vaccine
committee. 'If it turns out to be the case, we'll need to investigate
why, and it will be a very important lesson.' David Durrheim, the
only
Australian on the WHO's nine-member Strategic Advisory Group of
Experts, which cleared the use of a trivalent vaccine three weeks after
Australia's approval, notes that New Zealand also suspended
vaccinations in young children last week. This was after five cases of
febrile convulsions. Yet Singapore -- the only southern hemisphere
country to have given large amounts of the CSL vaccine to children --
has not reported any problems. 'The question that needs to be resolved
is whether this is a vaccine issue or rather a result of many more
doses administered than previously to this age group,' Professor
Durrheim said."

Answers
wanted over flu vaccine problems (includes video) - Yahoo!7 News,
Australia
- "Maxine Drake from the WA Health Consumers Council says the lack of
information could permanently deter some parents from vaccinating their
children. 'People will want valid plausible explanations and they will
want openness and honesty about what has happened here,' she said.
'Nobody will benefit from the Government or the public health experts
cajoling and in a way intimidating people back into vaccination it has
to be done by reinstating people's confidence through good science and
good explanation. 'I think that the vaccination rates will likely dip
until we can get a good explanation and help people to feel confident
again."

* ►May 1, 2010 - Locals
not in global race for lifelong flu jab
- The quest is on for the next generation of influenza vaccines to
provide lifelong protection and reduce unwanted side effects, but
Australia is not contributing to the effort. - The Australian - "More
than 10 companies in the US and Europe -- including Vaxinnate in New
Jersey and Sanofi Pasteur in Lyons -- are investigating a universal
vaccine, but none of Australia's large suppliers, CSL Limited, Abbott
Australasia and Sanofi Pasteur Australia, are involved. 'The big
players [here] are not doing anything,' says Nikolai Petrovsky, founder
of Adelaide-based specialist vaccine manufacturer Vaxine, which is no
longer pursuing a universal vaccine."

via Beyond Conformity - "The new changes in FDA involve secret
electronic voting in order to avoid committee members being
intimidated-by other committee members, particularly those with
pharma ties, or being too weak willed to be seen to be their own
person. FDA will be 'allowed' to present minority reports in order

the world. The study intro says: 'Preliminary results from a
retrospective data analysis of a very large ASD clinical database is
showing confirming information that indeed children with ASD have
elevated levels of several toxic chemicals that have been documented to
be neurotoxic and that these same children have genetic variations that
interfere with the proper detoxification of these chemicals. With over
2,000 patients in the database, this may be one of the largest studies
to show that environmental factors and associated genetic components
may be contributing to the causation of ASD."

Herald-Republic
- "A leading infectious disease expert told medical providers in Yakima
on Friday that they need to take a stronger stand with parents about
the safety of vaccines because the anti-vaccine movement has an
emotional edge in the news media. Although science has definitively
debunked the notion that vaccines cause autism spectrum disorder, as
many as 25 percent of new parents still believe there is a link, said

public. Whether it's the extent of the payroll bungle affecting the
state's health workers, or whether the flu vaccine caused the death of
a toddler, the Government is increasingly being seen as not telling the

potential to dramatically reduce the suffering caused by gynaecological

recovering autistic children. Desiree Jennings' doctor who recovered
her was not interviewed, nor was the Johns Hopkins doctor who diagnosed
her. Worse, PBS implied her illness was a hoax with no evidence other
than speculation by one local news station. Also missing were:
scientists responsible for the large body of research showing harm
associated with vaccines and vaccine ingredients. Public health
officials who are not backing the CDC party line, such as former NIH
Director Dr. Bernadine Healy. Rebuttals to the studies cited by Offit,
or mention of their pharma funding. These studies were presented as
