No Place for an Experiment - LA Times Editorial - "Soldiers have a
special obligation to stay fit and ready to defend their nation. Even so, U.S.
District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan was right to recognize that military fitness
does not extend to a requirement that all soldiers get controversial anthrax
vaccinations."
Comment: What does this all mean? Among the
questions that need to be asked are the following: 1) If so many vaccines have
been given incorrectly, does that mean they are not responsible for declines in
disease incidence attributed to their use? 2) If the declines occurred in
spite of these incorrectly administered vaccines, does that mean far fewer are
required for "herd immunity"? 3) If the declines occurred in spite
of these incorrectly administered vaccines, does that mean they are unnecessary?

Caring For Carter: Mellanby family learns to cope with son's autism - St.
Louis Post-Dispatch - "All day long
7-year-old Carter is a verb. He climbs. Bounces. Swings. Tugs. Runs. Swims.
Wanders. Climbs some more. Fidgets. Rolls. Hugs. Pulls. Climbs even more. The
umbrella verb for Carter's perpetual motion is 'stimming' - or self-stimulation,
uninterrupted movement common among children such as Carter who have the
neurological disorder autism and need, as one child told his parent, the active
repetition to 'organize his brain.'...But at night, Carter rests. He stops being
a verb and becomes adjectives. Peaceful. Calm. Tranquil."
