Here is a chart I just put together using data supplied to
me by the CDC years ago.It does not
include the 1989-1991 outbreak in which two of the years there were 32 and 64
deaths reported, respectively.(I need
to add them in.)But as you can see,
the graph would not change much.Note: According to the NVIC, the measles vaccine was licensed in 1963,
MMR in 1971.Also note that the
population increased about 2.5 times during that same time period.

Please note that measles cases reporting was thought to have been around 10%
when measles was a routine part of childhood.
