After being pressured to "consent" to a Hepatitis B inoculation for the baby, by hospital staff and neonatologist, Dr. Noel Carrasco, treating physician for the baby, the parents stood firm and said "NO". The parents have a strong religious conviction they adhere to, holding vaccinations are against God's laws, and also, a philosophical conviction vaccinations are harmful to one's health, as supported by data and statistics. They are very knowledgeable as to the many serious dangers of vaccinations that can be disabling or life threatening. The doctor called in hospital social service worker, Joni Vohs, who then proceeded to threaten the parents with the loss of their baby if they did not comply with the initial and subsequent shots. The parents could not in good conscience comply.

Social services and the administration of St. Mary's hospital, headed by Bob Ladenburger, CEO and President, called in attorneys, who then pressured District Judge Charles Buss to have an "emergency" meeting that night (after hours). The reason, "medical emergency", meaning the child's life was in "imminent danger" if inoculation did not occur immediately. This was all based on an erroneous, and highly inaccurate 'screening' test for Hepatitis B on the birth mother that showed up positive. These screening tests have a 40% false-positive rate. A "hearing" was held at the hospital, for which the child's family had 15 minutes warning. Due Process was not followed; the family had no time to obtain competent legal help or expert witnesses. A panel of 10 faced the family, including the judge, 4 attorneys, social workers, hospital administrators, and the doctor. The "judge" ignored the pleas for second opinions and subsequent blood tests on the birth mother. A unilateral arbitrary decision was made to inoculate the child immediately, in violation of existing state law and the civil liberties of the parents. In addition to the harmful shot administered to the 1 day old infant, the child was put into "protective supervision" of the MCDHS (MESA COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES) to protect the "child's best interests".

Are hospitals places that administer "health" care, or a place where you can lose your rights (and even your children), and be subjected to extreme health risks by the administration of vaccinations proven to be dangerous? From what I have learned this past week, hospitals can be an extreme health risk and the courts will not protect you. They violate existing law and strip you of your God-given rights protected by the Constitution and law. My eyes have been opened, and my views forever changed. Oh, I forgot to mention, 4 days later a negative blood test came back on the mother.

Recent actions: MCDHS sent a memo to the county attorney, stating that the charges against the parents were unfounded. On April 10, the county attorney made a motion that judge's order against the parents be dismissed. On April 17, 2003 the judge ruled all orders of the court to be dismissed, including Dependency and Neglect and Protective Supervision.

What now? Countless people in America are alarmed that this scenario could take place in our country. Do we really live in the "Land of the Free"? RELIGIOUS CONVICTIONS
Public Law 97-280, passed by the 97th Congress of the United States of America, declares the Bible to Be the "Word of God" and directs citizens to "study and apply the teachings of the Holy Scriptures. "The Bible teaches that the truthfulness of an issue is to be sought and should stand on no less than two or more witnesses" (Deuteronomy 19:15).

A diligent search for truth on the safety and effectiveness of vaccinations reveals there are many studied, informed and qualified witnesses who have found and teach that there are serious health risks involved with vaccinations. Even Senate Bill 732 before the 103rd Congress of the United States known as the "Comprehensive Child Health Immunization Act of 1993", made known the fact that there are risks to vaccines. The following words are from that bill: "Vaccine information materials should be simplified to ensure that parents can understand the benefits and risks of vaccines" (emphasis added).

The Bible teaches that there are clean and unclean animals and that God's people are not to put the unclean into their bodies (Deuteronomy 14). Furthermore, the Bible teaches that "Ye shall not eat of anything that dieth of itself"; (Deuteronomy 14:21) and "that flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat". (Genesis 9:4) Vaccines are often made of, or embodies, fetuses or eggs of said unclean creatures. The process of creating the vaccine often causes said creatures to die in the process (i.e., dieth of itself). Many vaccines are made in or of the blood of diseased animals.

"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own. For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's". (I Corinthians 6:19,20)

The Bible teaches that we are not to harm or wrong our neighbor (Romans 13:10: James 2:8). Our decision to decline vaccinations does not wrong or threaten our neighbor. If vaccinations are truly effective, then vaccinated neighbors would be in no danger from someone who is not vaccinated. Also, statistics show that those NOT vaccinated are less likely to expose their neighbor to harmful pathogens (that are contained in the vaccinations).

The Bible teaches children are a gift from God to the parents (Psalm 127:3) and further teaches the parents (not the state) are entrusted with the care and welfare of the child (I Timothy 5:8). The Bible also teaches there have been times in history when evil government and government employees have attempted through force, intimidation, or color of law to harm and destroy the children of God's people (Exodus I and 2 and Matthew 2). When a child's life is not in immediate, eminent danger, or there is no medical emergency, the rights of the parents to refuse vaccinations for their child should be observed and protected.

"We believe in God, and that God has created us in his image. In being created in God's image, we are given his perfect immune system. We are bestowed with His gift, the immune system. We believe it is sacrilegious and a violation of our sacred religious beliefs to violate what God has given us by showing a lack of faith in God. Immunizations are a lack of faith in God and His protection, the immune system." We are to be responsible in taking care of the body, following good health practices and hygiene. We are not to abuse "the temple of the Holy Ghost".
"We believe in Jesus' many promises of protection for us, and that He loves us, and will take care of us if we place our trust in Him. Belief in immunizations for "health" show no faith in God's promises of protection for us, saying to God that you trust man more than His holy Words of protection for us."
