Smallpox vaccine: Easing fears on inoculations - A bill offers needed protections for physicians and other health care "first responders" who receive the vaccine. - "In the past, out of every million people vaccinated for the first time, about 1,000 experienced serious reactions, and between 14 and 52 people experienced potentially life-threatening reactions. The CDC estimates that one or two people out of every million who receive the vaccine might die from it." Already the number of deaths and adverse reactions associated with the vaccine appear to be greater than this. Is it because they are coincidental? Is it because the prior numbers were an under-representation of actual adverse smallpox vaccine events? Is it because for some reason more people are having reactions now than used to? Something else? Some combination?

"Edible Vaccine Might Help Curb Dysentery" - How many times are the "experts" going to predict that "Because the disease causes life-long immunity, it is thought that the antigen in the vaccine could cause prolonged immunity", prior to any long-term studies, and in spite of repeated evidence to the contrary?

Do Vaccines Cause Chronic Diseases Like Arthritis? - Offit is kidding, right? "These differences are reflected in the many well-controlled epidemiological studies that do not show a causal relationship between vaccines and autoimmune diseases, including multiple sclerosis, type 1 diabetes and chronic arthritis." The "many well-controlled epidemiological studies"? How many studies do you think there have been that are long-term, placebo-controlled (comparing vaccinated to never vaccinated), randomized, double-blind? I feel safe in saying there have been NONE. So much for the "many well-controlled epidemiological studies".
