WHO MAKES THE LAWS FOR THE PEOPLE 
OF EUROPE?
 

EU Commission

  • Functions as Europe's "Cabinet", "officially writing" legislative bills for Europe

  • Not elected, just "appointed"

  • EU Commissioners are members on the executive and supervisory boards of the pharmaceutical industry and other major corporations (e.g. Commissioner F. Bolkestein)

The pharmaceuticals industry and other major corporations dictate draft legislation to the Commission.

 

 

EU Parliamentary committees 

  • Major corporations' draft laws are disguised as EU Commission bills

  • These 'Commission' bills are merely discussed by the committees and passed to the EU Parliament

  • As camouflage these bills receive the name of 'Directives' – but what they really are is the 'Diktat' of the pharmaceuticals industry

EU Parliamentary committees are a democratic 'fig leaf' to create the impression that experts are making the laws in the interests of the people.

 

 

 

EU Parliament

  • EU Parliamentarians know little about the issues

  • For example, they are unaware that

- Vitamins do not have side-effects,
- Hundreds of thousands of people die every year of the side-effects of pharmaceutical preparations

  • Usually ‘nod’ bills ('Directives') from the committees through without comment

 

The EU Parliament is not dedicated to the people of Europe by any constitution.

There are no referendums or other democratic constraints.

 

 

 

National  Parlaments

  • Every European national Parliament has to implement EU Directives and laws
 

 

YOU, the people of Europe

  •  Are not allowed to look behind the facade of the EU Parliament
  • Have to pay for the 'Directive-laws' of the pharmaceutical lobby with your health and your taxes
