Treatments for vulvovaginitis

In acute symptomatic vulvovaginitis, all imidazoles seem to be equally effective. Duration of treatment makes little difference to outcome, and so a one-dose preparation would seem the most appropriate. In an extract from Concise Clinical Evidence Marrazzo (p 586) puts forward the treatment options available for vulvovaginitis and Spence helps us to interpret the evidence.
