"Israel Starts Smallpox Vaccinations for 15,000 Rescue Workers, Police" Agence France Presse (www.afp.com/english/home) (09/18/02)
Health officials in Israel reportedly have started giving smallpox shots to about 15,000 rescue workers and police. The program, which was approved by the Israeli security cabinet in August, began at Ishilov hospital in Tel Aviv, according to a hospital spokesperson.
