Hold the health care industry responsible for wrongdoing - Public Citizen
Doctors, drug companies, HMOs, hospitals, and nursing homes are now trying to
convince the House of Representatives to pass a disastrous, anti-patient bill
that would gut current state medical malpractice and defective product laws.
Six weeks ago, you were instrumental in helping defeat companion legislation
in the Senate. Now, you can help defeat the health care industry's self-serving
attempt to escape from wrongdoing again.
Let your House member hear from you. Congress needs to be reminded: it's
unacceptable to allow the health care industry to escape responsibility for the
most serious medical malpractice and defective product injuries caused by
negligence - and to deny justice and financial relief to victims.
