"Flu Shot Won't Make You Sick"
Edmonton Journal (www.edmontonjournal.com) (09/24/02) P. A13
People who suffered from oculorespiratory syndrome (ORS) after receiving a flu shot in 2000 were no more likely to have an adverse reaction to the flu vaccine in 2001, according to a study conducted by researchers in British Columbia and Quebec. Lead author Danuta Skowronski asserts that patients who previously developed ORS should not worry about developing the condition again, because less than 5 percent suffered a recurrence of ORS in 2001, and all who did experienced milder symptoms. The research was published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal.
