"Wanted: More Smallpox Vaccine"

London Guardian (www.guardian.co.uk/guardian) (10/28/02) P. 8; Meikle, James

An advertisement for smallpox vaccine has been placed in the Official Journal of the European Communities by the British government.  The open call for more vaccine for national supplies may be motivated by the criticism the government received for secretly awarding Powderject Pharmaceuticals a contract for the product.  The country would like to have enough smallpox vaccine for every citizen.  In order to accomplish the goal, the government likely needs to double existing supplies.
