SHOULD THE BABY JAB BE REPLACED?

Oct 18 2002

RECORD DEBATE

We asked should single jabs instead of the triple dose for MMR be made widely available in Scotland

I think there should be single jabs of the MMR. I think it is terrible the Government are allowing the triple injection - SD

My kids were babies in the early 80s. They were vaccinated the old way and it never did them any harm - KC, Stirling

I think people should have the choice. My daughter had the triple dose and she is fine - D, Glasgow

The option should be there for parents to choose, but I had my combined MMR and I'm okay - F, aged 19

I will get the MMR done when my son gets rid of the cold, but only because I am afraid for measles, so there is no choice.

Why not, if it reassures parents? And why just Scotland? - DG, Dundee

The links to autism from the triple jag are suspect, but the big dose can make children very ill in any event. So single jags should be available - GB, Glasgow

I won't trust the triple jag until I find out what Tony Blair did for his son Leo - Mark, Woodlands
