PORTLAND, Ore., Oct. 1
/PRNewswire/ -- The following is being issued by Williams, Dailey, O'Leary,
Craine & Love:
WHO: Parents initiate a series of legal actions nationwide to compel
pharmaceutical industry to fully fund testing and treatment for
millions of young children who were overdosed by mercury within
their infant vaccinations and verify that thousands of those
children have endured severe brain injuries as a result.
WHEN: Tuesday, October 2 at 10:30 a.m.
WHERE: -- News Conference Call -- 1-800-368-4750 Access Code # 245529

WHY: In the wake of today's report by the Institute of Medicine (IOM)
that it is biologically plausible that mercury in thimerosal
vaccines could cause brain damage, and the IOM's repeated calls
for immediate and extensive testing. Parents of mercury overdosed
babies are asking the courts to order the pharmaceutical industry
to fully fund independent research and extensive testing to
determine how many children have been injured and how severely.
The Mercury Vaccine Alliance -- a coalition of more than 35 law
firms representing families throughout the U.S. who have exposure
to mercury via infant vaccines -- is filing medical monitoring
class action lawsuits today in 9 different states and anticipates
similar suits in more than half the states in the U.S. within the
coming weeks.
