"Vaccinations Stepped Up"
Sydney Daily Telegraph (www.dailytelegraph.news.com.au)
(11/25/02) P. 5
Australia will spend $190 million on a new meningococcal C vaccination program that will ensure every Australian under the age of 20 years receives the vaccination in the next three years. The first two target groups are children between the ages of one year and five years and teenagers between the ages of 15 years and 19 years. Vaccine shortages are no longer a problem after the Therapeutic Goods Administration approved two new vaccine suppliers. The vaccines will be without cost to children in order to encourage more parents to have their children vaccinated.
