"US Delivers Vaccine to Stricken Region"

Following the deaths of 70 children in a remote part of Afghanistan from whooping cough, U.S. Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld reported that American military helicopters transported vaccine and health care workers to the region. Darwaz, a village in Badakshan province, can be reached only via foot, horse, or helicopter.
