"US Delivers Vaccine to Stricken Region" United Press International (www.upi.com) (11/04/02)
Following the deaths of 70 children in a remote part of Afghanistan from whooping cough, U.S. Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld reported that American military helicopters transported vaccine and health care workers to the region. Darwaz, a village in Badakshan province, can be reached only via foot, horse, or helicopter. ALL INFORMATION, DATA, AND
