According to the UNICEF Kenyan country office,
the recent UNICEF-led effort to immunize young people against measles reached
93.4 percent of the targeted children in the country. The campaign provided
measles vaccination for 13.4 million children and was largest of its kind ever
to take place in Africa. In addition to measles vaccine, the effort provided
polio immunization in 14 districts and maternal tetanus vaccination in three
districts.
