"Thai Developing New Cholera Drug" Nation (Thailand) (www.nationmultimedia.com) (11/19/02)
Wanpen Chaicumpa is going to start trials on an improved cholera vaccine. She hopes to receive financial assistance from the Thailand Tropical Disease Research Program. The advantage of the pill over the current intravenously injected liquid vaccines is that it will provide protection in the intestines. Wanpen's previous achievements include rapid diagnostic tests for cholera, typhoid, salmonella, and leptospirosis. ALL INFORMATION, DATA, AND
