"Germany Has 100 Million Smallpox Vaccine Injections Ready for Population" AFX News (www.afxpress.com) (11/17/02)
Germany has collected 100 million doses of smallpox vaccine, which is enough to protect its entire population, according to a report in the weekly news magazine Focus. Germany designed a bioterrorism response plan that involves 500,000 firefighters and 800,000 other personnel working in clinics vaccinating Germany's 82 million residents. The vaccine stocks have already been distributed throughout the country, to facilitate the response plan in case of a bioterrorist attack.
