BLAIR DIDN'T CONVINCE US THAT MMR IS SAFE

Nov 25 2002

Case Study

SCOTT Brown, aged four, should have received his MMR jab well over two years ago.

But after reading about the controversy surrounding it, his parents Donna and Edward, from Thornliebank, Glasgow, decided against it.

Yesterday, he had his measles vaccine and Donna admitted she was relieved he was now protected.

She said: "The reports from the Government (on MMR) are carried out by their own people, so you don't believe them.

"There was also the fact that Tony Blair never admitted whether his son had the MMR jab.

Edward added: "I am angry that we were not given the choice over the single jab.

"I think it is purely down to money and it makes you angry when you think of all the money wasted on projects like the Millennium Dome."
