"Nigeria: Red Cross Urges Mass Participation in Sokoto"

The Nigerian national polio immunization program is taking place in Sokoto State, and Malam Kabeer Ahmed, secretary-general of the Red Cross Society of Nigeria, Sokoto State Chapter, is urging state, local governments, and religious leaders to encourage participation in it.  Ahmed praised the state government's work to support the program, including providing sufficient vaccines and other materials, and he also commended the efforts of local officials to encourage residents to get their children vaccinated.
