"Measles Kills Eight Children in Eastern Uganda"
Xinhua News Agency (202.84.17.11/en/main.htm) (05/27/02)
In Uganda, district health services director Dr. Francis Abwaimo reports that he sent a team of health workers to immunize children hit by a recent measles outbreak in Mbale. Eight children have died so far, he said, noting that most of the affected children had not been vaccinated against measles because of a reluctance on the part of their parents.
