"Experts Give Their Backing to MMR Vaccine"
Glasgow Herald (Scotland) (www.theherald.co.uk) (05/01/02) P. 1; Macdermid, Alan
In Scotland, a panel of experts stated Tuesday that the triple MMR vaccine is the best way to protect children from measles, mumps, and rubella. The panel also stated that children should not receive single vaccine shots against those diseases. The panel was established in 2001 to allay concerns that the triple MMR vaccine was to blame for an increase in bowel disorder and autism cases. The panel concluded that there was no evidence to support these allegations.
