The United States National Institutes of Health (NIH) and a Dutch biotechnology firm, Crucell NV, have partnered on a mission to develop a vaccine against the deadly virus Ebola.  Since September, the fear that Ebola could be used as a powerful biological weapon has intensified and recent outbreaks of fever in Africa have already resulted in hundreds of deaths.  Crucell NV and the NIH anticipate a vaccine will be ready for human trials within two years and in distribution by 2008.
