The World Bank has said it will provide $100 million to Argentina to
help fund emergency health care, education, and other programs.
Approximately $34 million is earmarked for medical supplies for mothers
and infants, vaccination programs, and campaigns against major illnesses
like AIDS and malaria. About $50 million will be used to support
nongovernmental organizations, networks, and grass-roots community
groups, while another $12 million will go towards supplies for public
