"Malaria Vaccine Funds"

The Malaria Vaccine Initiative will provide A$3.11 million towards research into a malaria vaccine.  The vaccine is being developed by La Trobe University in Melbourne and Biotech Australia.  Human clinical trials for the experimental Merozoite Surface Protein 2 malaria vaccine are expected to begin within two or three years.
