The development of a vaccine to prevent the build-up of
atherosclerotic plaque has come a step closer. Researchers at
the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (Los Angeles, CA, USA) and
Lund University (Malmo, Sweden) have tested a peptide-based
vaccine that reduces arterial plaque formation in mice by up
to 70%
