UNICEF announced Thursday that Somali children living near the Kenyan border will benefit from an upcoming measles immunization effort in Kenya.  "We will establish immunization centers at the Kenya-Somali border and at Dadaab, Kakuma, and other refugee camps in northern Kenya," said UNICEF's country director for Kenya, Nicholas Alipui.  Alipui explained that health workers will cross the border to vaccinate children in peaceful parts of Somalia against measles.  Immunization stations will also be set up at livestock watering points in northern and eastern parts of Kenya to reach children living in herder communities.
