"Large-Scale Testing of New AIDS Vaccine Postponed"

Thailand has pushed back the commencement of a 5-year trial of a combination therapy consisting of an Aventis Pasteur vaccine and a VaxGen vaccine. The trial has been moved from August to December. Health Ministry official Dr. Supachai Rerks-Ngarm said that more preparation times is needed as not all national and local committees have yet given their approval to the project.
