"Beating Two Infections With One Vaccine"

An EpiVax study shows that similarities between the Japanese encephalitis virus and West Nile virus may enable one vaccine to offer protection against both diseases. The results show that cross-protection may exist for other vaccines. One example is that smallpox vaccines also work against cowpox.
