"Vaccine on Trial" Advertiser (AU) (www.theadvertiser.news.com.au) (07/29/02)
Researchers at CMAX, a drug testing and research facility in Adelaide, Australia, will soon begin testing a vaccine against the hepatitis C virus (HCV). The clinical trial, for which volunteers are now being recruited, will assess the vaccine's safety and its efficacy in producing antibodies. Statistics show that some 200,000 Australians are infected with HCV, and 11,000 new infections occur each year. ALL INFORMATION, DATA, AND
