This is
getting very boring. Another study reporting how daily doses of
vitamins do nothing to prevent diseases.
This
time, its a study in The Lancet concluding that Vitamin E, Vitamin C
and Beta-Carotene offer no benefit to those at high risk for heart
disease, cancer and other illnesses.
Ho hum.
One of the researchers, Rory Collins, actually concluded that vitamins
are a "waste of time." A Useless action. This bright light knows the
truth. So let him strut his stuff and have his cheap cigar.
Thats
what you do when there is competing research suggesting that vitamins
can provide some benefit. Grin and bear it.
This
weeks Scream goes to Collins and his ilk who badly need counselling,
so that they can understand that science is a process and that nothing
should be viewed as definitive. Nothing.
Unfortunately, many scientists never had the proper schooling to
understand the tenuous nature of their findings.
