"Norway Pledges Funds to Help Eradicate Polio"

The World Health Organization, which has a $275 million target for its international polio eradication campaign, received $6.84 million from the Norwegian government on Friday.  A statement from Norway's ministry of health noted that eliminating the disease could ultimately save $1.5 million annually for shots and that the effort to stop polio has also helped to improve general health care in some nations.
