ISLAMABAD (APP): The Directorate of Health Services, Capital Development Authority (CDA) in collaboration with National Manger EPI, will start Hepatitis-B vaccination for the newly born babies in Federal Capital.

The vaccine donated by GAVI (Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization) will be given to new born at the ages of 6, 10 and 14 weeks.

The Health Services Directorate of CDA will act as the focal point for vaccine distribution to the health related institutions of Islamabad including Federal Government Services Hospital, Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, KRL Hospital, PNS Hospital and Capital Hospital.

This milestone achievement has been handed over to the Health Directorate of the Authority for its excellent performance in the EPI programme and the implementation of Polio Eradication initiative by which Islamabad has become a polio-free city.
