Health officials in Nevada report that a woman from
California has come down with the first-known case of Lyme disease in Washoe County. The woman said she was working in a forested
area west of Reno several months ago, and that she subsequently developed a bulls-eye
shaped rash—a symptom of the tick-borne disease—as well as flu-like symptoms.
