I have been watching ER since it began. As a nurse, my co-workers and I would often discuss the show in detail on Friday mornings. It used to be a lot more realistic then it is now. I am writing today for several reasons. First of all, as a mother of 3 boys and a nurse, we chose to stop all further vaccinations on our children 3 years ago. Before you aired such a condescending show last night, you could have at least checked out the facts on our side. We are educated and have access to the horrific damage done by vaccines. This is our field and you insult many people who have become convinced that while vaccines are important they can be very damaging too.  My issue is with the way vaccines are prepared. For one, I’m going to knock myself out breastfeeding for a year, just to inject my children with vaccines preserved with formaldyhyde! Doesn’t that bother you! Until efforts are made into changing the way vaccines are prepared, no one will experiment on my children. I am so angry that you made us look ridiculous. When you present an issue, it might be nice if you present intelligently both sides, as very often there are 2 valid arguments. But it seems to be a theme throughout your show that you’d rather take the easy, “politically correct rode”. You also touched on affirmative action last night. I’m not sure what the answer to that issue is. But this is another case of both sides being right. So it would have been nice for you to present some “caucasion males” who have suffered serious consequences of affirmative action. This often would in turn lend itself to discussions in the real world with hopefully a better understanding of where both sides are coming from.
