"U.N. Agency Gives Aid to Fight Disease in Kyrgyzstan"

Kyrgyzstan's National Immunology and Disease Prevention Center recently received 11 two-chamber refrigerators and 2,300 thermometers from UNICEF. The equipment will be used to ensure that vaccines are properly stored. UNICEF's Richard Young noted that the organization also plans to support immunization programs in Kyrgyzstan, to help reduce the spread of measles, diphtheria, and other vaccine-preventable diseases.
