"Rotary International Launches Hepatitis B Immunization Project in China" Xinhua News Agency (202.84.17.11/en/main.htm) (12/19/02)
Rotary International reports that Handan, located in China's Hubei Province, will serve as a pilot area for a 10-year hepatitis B immunization program in the country. The goal of the program, which is being supported by the Chinese Ministry of Health, is to immunize 1 million newborn infants in the less-developed provinces of China against hepatitis B. Rotary International's Gloria Chan noted that they have already raised about $167,000 to help finance the project. ALL INFORMATION, DATA, AND
