CORRECTION
An abstract of a USA Today article that was published in the Dec. 23 Immunization Newsbriefs, "Scientists Call for Smallpox Revaccination Plan," incorrectly stated the scope of the White House smallpox vaccination plan. Under the plan, the shots are mandatory for certain military and civilian personnel who are or may be deployed in high-risk areas; however, for everyone else, vaccination is voluntary.
