"Canada to Buy Smallpox Vaccine"
Wall Street Journal (www.wsj.com) (11/29/02)
Canadian health officials announced Thursday that they plan to buy enough smallpox vaccine to immunize all residents of the country. Canada currently has about 1.5 million doses of the vaccine; however, officials said they want to have 10 million doses of the vaccine. At the current pricing structure, it could cost Ottawa about C$40 million to buy the additional doses.
