"Australian SAS Could Be Offered Experimental Vaccines"
Sydney Sun Herald (AU)(12/22/02); Cumming, Fia
A spokesman for the Australian Defense Department reported that experimental anthrax, mustard gas and bubonic plaque vaccines will probably be offered to SAS troops being deployed to Iraq. The spokeswoman refused to be more specific about which vaccines would be offered, as the information could be used by other nations. She noted that "we vaccinate in line with a threat and risk assessment, based on what operational environment they are entering into."
