"Announcement: National Network for Immunization
Information Seeks Partner"
The National Network for Immunization
Information (NNii) is seeking a new institutional partner. Now in its fourth
year, the NNii has established its credibility with the public, professions,
policy makers and the media as an unbiased source of current, science-based

researchers to communicate scientific information in ways that are useful and
understandable, with the goal of helping people make informed decisions about
immunizations.
NNii has functioned as a virtual center. Its
Steering Committee recognizes the need for a more permanent base, preferably in
an academic or foundation setting. An appropriate setting is one with ongoing
programs of education, research, communication and public health policy
development around issues of preventive health, including immunization. Since
NNii is dependent on support from grants that do not include the pharmaceutical
industry and government, ability to seek outside funding from other sources will
