"A$2.7 Million to Fund SA Meningococcal C Vaccination" Australian Associated Press (AAP) (aap.com.au)
Over the next four years, the South Australian government will provide A$2.7 million to fund the local version of the national meningococcal C vaccination program. The program provides free meningitis C vaccines for children between the ages of one and five years and adolescents between the ages of 15 and 19, starting in January. Six- to 14-year-olds will be targeted in 2004, and a "mop-up" effort will be held in 2005 to include children who were eligible but who were not vaccinated through the school-based program.
