A report in the Sunday Telegraph said that a vaccine to
prevent diabetes in children will be studied in Sydney, Australia, next year. Researchers at the Centenary Institute in
Sydney have determined that an element of the tuberculosis vaccine may help end
the need for daily insulin injections for some children with diabetes. If the tests are successful, the vaccine
could be on the market within five years.
