UN Relief Agencies Focus on Garbage Collection and Vaccination in Iraq

A United Nations spokesman said this week that U.N. relief agencies in Iraq are continuing their efforts in the country, focusing on immunization efforts and garbage collection in Basra. According to the spokesman, UNICEF is to receive a shipment of diphtheria, polio, measles, and tuberculosis vaccines, so it can implement vaccination campaigns in the country. The vaccines will be distributed to primary health care centers in Iraq by the country's ministry of health.
