Toronto Back on
WHO List of SARS-Affected Places
Toronto is back on
the World Health Organization's (WHO's) list of places affected by severe acute
respiratory syndrome (SARS), following an outbreak of eight new cases and 26
suspected cases. Two people have died as part of the new outbreak, which comes
just two weeks after the city had been removed from the WHO's list of
SARS-affected areas. Toronto has the highest number of SARS cases outside of
Asia; however, the city is not facing any WHO travel restrictions.
