UN Assists Polio Vaccination Campaign in Afghanistan

On May 23rd, the Public Health Department of Afghanistan, in cooperation with UNICEF and the World Health Organization, will begin a nationwide child census and polio vaccination effort. The door-to-door initiative hopes to vaccinate 6 million children under the age of five.
