World Bank to Provide $20 Million to Pakistan to Eradicate Polio
Associated Press (www.ap.org) (05/17/03)
The World Bank is issuing a $20 million loan, through the International Development Association, to help eradicate polio in Pakistan by 2005. The loan will be used to buy oral polio vaccines. Pakistan recorded 98 cases of polio last year.
