Norwegian hope for a SARS vaccine

The Norwegian firm Bionor has started work on developing what may be the first vaccine against the SARS virus.

The Skien-based firm has valuable experience, according to the Norwegian Institute for Public Health.

The research will be carried out in cooperation with the Institute for Puplic Health.

The Institute has asked Bionor to take on the task, since it already has experience working on a test vaccine against HIV.

Researechers at Bionor have worked on the SARS vaccine for more than a month already, and hope to have it ready for testing in another eight months, NRK reports.
