MMR row prompts more measles cases

Health authorities have been alarmed by a continuing rise in the number of measles cases being reported in the wake of the vaccinations row of last year.

The problem is particularly acute in Scotland where incidence of the disease has risen by 60 per cent after parents turned their backs on the MMR triple vaccine following safety scares.
