"Organization to Give Uganda $10 million a Year for Immunization" BBC Worldwide Monitoring (www.monitor.bbc.co.uk) (05/06/03)
The Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization has reportedly agreed to provide the Ugandan government with $10 million annually to aid vaccination efforts. Dr. Issa Makumbi, coordinator of the Uganda National Expanded Program on Immunization, said Monday that the country "will be receiving $10 million each year for five years to provide additional vaccines, safety injection-related material, and to strengthen the infrastructure under the health sector."
